CS4 Speech Transcript Bwahahaha

Postmaster

Dark Side of the Camera
Out of curiosity I tried the Speech Transcript function of CS4 on UNZEIT.

Bwahaha! The transscription was a desaster.
Took quite a while cause it is only using one and a half processor (out of 4) at 30%.

My actors may not have an american accent, but at least they speak clear English.
No mumbling or whatever.

Here is what CS4 made out of UNZEIT, sounds much Jabberwookie to me.
Absolute nonsense - not a single sentence worked out right.

thats about as accurate as I'd expect. even dragon naturally speaking doesn't work as advertised and they've been working on the tech for like over ten years now.

It wasn't made to transcribe the script.
It's just to help you find a spot in the time line when you know a key word or phrase they were talking about but don't know the location.

Accents give speech recognition programs a hard time, that's why you usually have to train them to recognize your personal accents.

Personally I think it's a great feature that will get better with time.

I only got to see half of that before Murphy struck, but it looked beautiful. The acting was a little off, but I'm sure they fit your budget. You did a really good job there, and I will be back to watch the rest of it, if luck prevails that is :)
