I'm posting this here, because I'll presume that Premiere users are more likely to have thought or actually used Soundbooth than in other fora...
I got around to setting up a 'locked' video editingwise short film. And basically quickly found that 'audio' editing in Soundbooth seems to be a real pain.
In particular, it did not appear that there was a 'knife' type editing tool, so I would have to tediously break up a long audio clip, in to individual tracks, then set the in and outs such that just the small snippets I was intrested in remained.
In the NLE style, one would just use the knife tool, chop at 'breath points', or other unwanted audio locations, cut, and trim away stuff. Since sub-frame editing in the NLE's I have, Final Cut Express, and Premiere, is somewhat a pain, I thought Soundbooth would be a solution...
So, is there a knife function that has sub-frame editing capability.
Or, alternatively, is there subframe audio editing available in Premiere, that isn't a pain to use?
Also in Premiere, how does one increase the audio track height to allow one to actually see the audio wave form...
An even more stupid question, how does one get the audio track higher in the track list. For some reason when I drag a video+audio clip onto the sequence the Video goes to the 'lowest' track, but the audio goes to 'track 5' or lower, leaving the top audio tracks empty... and 'draging' doesn't seem to change that, with or with out the 'command/control/option/shift' key...
