Cs4 Premiere Help dynamic link

Anyone know why this is happening,.

i dont like exporting in prem then importing the mov into ae to colour correct etc why is it that u can dynamic link your porem folder directly into Ae but when i wanna import the ae job into prem to export it it goes all mad with colour bars ..

does anyone know how you can export out of after effects using the adobe media encoder ? and have any idea why importing the ae job into prem goes all messed up ??

Chris

ok, anybody can correct me if i'm wrong, i just got master collection like 2 days ago, and i think you can try "replace with after effects composition" it work way better than the "send to after effects" thingy; which was the major problem i was having since i use fcp and ae

so try selecting part of the footage you want to work on and use "replace with ae comp" instead

I will give that a try when I get in. Altho it makes no actual sense as to why import ae comp messes up. Putting a prem job in ae seems to work fine.

Nope that didnt work either .. anyway when ever i export using prem it uses the adobe media encoder and footage looks amazing. however whenever i want to export it using ae it always looks really bad !

even when i try it with the render que

any possible way of using the media encoder to do this ..

our footage is shot at 25p 14:9 and pal dv .. anyone got any ideas ?

ah i know think i know why prem wont accept importing an AE file .. it lacks the video filters used in AE.

So my question still remains how the heck do i export from after effects without destroying the quality., as i will eventually be putting the video back into prem for editing?
Ultimatly this means i am going to be compressing the footage twice.

the media encoder doesnt really take away any of the quality like AE does.

Have you tried copying the composition (from the AE project panel) and pasting it into Premiere Pro's project panel? It's what I do with CS3 and works fine
All you do then is click and drag the comp (from the ppro project panel) over the footage that you are replacing, hold the Alt key (option on Mac) to do the "replace footage" command and let go

:)

Open Adobe Media Encoder

File>import After Effects Composition

Same can be done with Premiere pro projects.

After Effects doesn't have a single 'export media' like premiere. (I actually wish Premiere has the extra save options).

Is the technique of opening Adobe Media encoder separate from launching it from Premiere new functionality in CS4?

If this can be done with CS3, can you please mention how you launch it separately?

thanks

Media Encoder is basically the same thing as in Premiere CS3 but it's a seperate program all together in Premiere CS4. You can always edit while rendering now.

See in CS4 there is no more export-movie,audio,frame there's only export-media. You pick your setting and then it opens up Adobe Media Encoder or AME.

After Effects CS4 works renders the same way it did in CS3. You can export-movie, frame, or send to AE's batch renderer. You can't however send it to AME (Adobe Media Encoder) from inside AE. You have to start up AME then choose the AE project to render from a list of comps in the project. You need to name your AE comps if it's a big project or it can get comfusing. Especially if you use precomps.
