I have an i7 and Quad in the studio, but need a small laptop primarily for presentations playing wmv 1080 movies, but it would be nice to get a little work done out of the studio at the same time.
I transcode all my H-264 to M-Jpeg 50% quality for offline now and would be nice to transcode on location and do some basic offline editing.
What is the least power I can get away with? Budget is a bigger concern because I have a long shopping list for lenses and audio gear all waiting, but need a presentation laptop right now.
I also work in 3dmax and would like to be able do basic scratch design work in the field and render on the i7 later.
What will this do for me?
