CS3 to CS5 Upgrade Question

I have used Premiere CS3 and thinking about upgrading to CS5, I never had to do this before but the projects that I have saved in CS3 will I have to do anything to them to be able to open the projects with it's reference files in CS5? Notice I will be installing CS5 on a new system?

Same thing, if I am sharing my projects with another editor for further editing and my projects are CS3 and his is CS5, do I have to do anything when saving the projects before giving him the drive? Thanks

You will need to point CS5 to the directory where the files are located and it will link the original footage back. Rendered preview files are not transferable. When CS5 opens a project from an older version, it will require you to save that project as a new CS5 project file. So just giving your editor the CS3 version will work.

Note than while you can go from 3 to 5, going back from 5 to 3 will be problematic if not downright impossible.
