CS3 Problem with Capturing HDV Footage using Cineform "Recorder captured no frames"

I am having this serious annoying problem of when I try to capture footage from my A1 (HDV footage) using Cineform AspectHD. I connect my camera, set the Cineform capture settings, have HD space, Premiere camera controls work, hit the record button, record process starts, lists a file name, shows the time info, everything is playing and saying it's recording, but when the tape ends, or I hit stop it says "Recorder captured no frames". Why on earth would everything act like it's working and say its recording with the tape playing back, but when I hit stop nothing was recorded???

I recorded one whole tape fine. Then the second tape started having problems. I noticed the scene detect was changing filenames when new scenes appeared, so I stopped it and it said no frames were recorded. I have tried rewinding and re-doing it and SOMETIMES it will record when I retry. But for the most part it is now not recording almost everytime.

Is this a camera, premiere, or cineform issue? What is going on and how can I fix it? Any advice? Has anyone had this problem before?

I havent noticed any drop outs in the area that wont capture. I've tried with and without scene detect and no luck. If it is a dropped timecode issue, what is the resolution? Why would 1/2 the tape capture, then one section won't?

Cineform tech support recommended trying HDlink, but that program won't even begin to capture. Soon as I hit the capture button HDlink freezes. Won't even start a capture.

What are my options here? What are other ways to capture HDV footage with the $500 cineform program I purchased?

What version of prem are you using you know you dont need cineform to CUT hdv in prem all you need is v 1.5 or higher, I would try capturing from the point it droped out at like capture the tape in two halfs ive had to do that before

do yuo have another Prem or FCP workstation you can try to capture the tape with WITHOUT cineform, or try a new project using native prem HDV preset capture the file then import that into the cineform project

No one else is having this problem? Cineform is no help. To my understanding I can't capture Canon 24f footage with any native Premiere presets. Hence why I am using Cineform.

It's basically happening with ALL my tapes. They will capture fine to start and then get to a point where there's a stop in the tape (like if I filmed on day 1, then used the same tape on day 2) and won't capture from that point forward. Plays fine in the camera and on TV, but won't capture. WTF is going on. Is this a dropped timecode situation? What is the fix? I am starting to get really worried about how I am going to get all my footage on my workstation. ANY ADVICE OUT THERE???

I'm having the same issues, but it just started recently, I'm using cs3 and cineform but it always has worked (until recently) I'm wondering if it has something to do with an adobe update or issues with another plug-in? it's been working for months and all of a sudden it gives me the no frames captured dialog box at,

I did notice that there where a few drop-out frames but that shouln't really matter.

******* UPDATE - Found a Solution *******

I re-installed cineform and it still gave me a couple of no frames captured, then I changed the Device control from HD/Cineform to just HDV control and it captured just fine.

Hope this helps
