CS3 interlacing issues

Hint

I imported my footage from P2 ( format DVCPRO 576i) into Cs3 and started editing. I setup a custom project with DV settings but with upper field first. Everything played fine until I added an effect on a clip and rendered it. The resulting render had interlacing issues when played back via DV deck to a monitor. I reversed its field dominance, rendered again, and then it looked fine. It's a hassle to go through all the clips on my timeline to reverse the field dominance. Does someone here has a solution please? Is this an issue with the way CS3 deals with .mxf files (which I think are upper field) and DV (lower field first)?

Change (customise) the Project Setting for field dominance in a new Project and save it as a Preset.

Import the old project into the new one.

I did, but the problem is still there! Is there a 'standard' project setting which I should use when editing DVCPRO 25?

You said it looked fine when you reversed field dominance on a clip by clip basis in your Custom Project. Therefore changing the Custom Project to the different field dominance should be the solution.

PAL/NTSC ????

thank you shooter... after I opened the new project with the new setting, I had to delete the previews, and re-render again. Then everything looked fine! Looks like Premier renders only lower field first!

I am in PAL land...
