CS3 crashing with certain fonts

I recently installed Cubase SX3, and i got a glimpse of some sort of steinberg, or cubase font in the font browser in the title creator in premier pro CS3. Whenever i scroll down through the font browser, the program crashes as soon as it sees this font. Where can i delete this font? This problem is very frustrating.

I've searched for Premier Pro CS3 Font crash online and found nothing. Help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

Are you on Windows? If so:

Go to Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Fonts. Find the offending font, select it, and hit Delete to trash it. Try restarting PPro and see if this solves the problem.

looks like its Tahoma Font that is crashing the program, but it won't let me remove it...

Tahoma is a Windows system font, so it's probably protected. Try this:

Go to C:\Windows\Fonts using Explorer. Select Tahoma/Tahoma Bold and hit Delete. The files will be trashed, but the Windows File Protection System (or whatever it's called) will reinstall these from its super-top-secret file repository. In other words, they'll disappear for a second and then reappear. Try restarting Premiere Pro, and see if that fixes the problem. If not, it probably means a Windows reinstall (ick!).

gah, don't know why it's doing this.. because i can't scroll past fonts that begin with R without it crashing. the whole, premier pro must shut down blah blah blah.

That's definitely a corrupted font issue. It's probably not Tahoma causing the problem then. While you won't be able to move the system fonts, you could move half or so of your fonts from the Fonts folder, and selectively add them back and restart Premiere Pro until you can isolate the problematic one. Time consuming, yes; but probably not as frustrating as continual crashes.

tried that, but they remain within the font list. Moved em out of font folder onto desktop, guess it still links them.
