crushing the blacks?

I have heard this term when it coms to exporting quicktime. I think this could be the solution and if it is then please let me know if I need to "crush the blacks" or if its something else. Heres the problem... I just exported a beautifully shot (at least on the timeline and my viewfinder of my HVX) interview with a man who has a black suit on. Everything looked fine but when I exported it.

Timeline- 720p/24p 16:9 DVCPro HD (shot with HVX200a)

First export settings- (im going to give you more then you probably need to figure the problem out)

Compression: H.264
Quality: High
Key frame rate: 24
Frame reordering: yes
Encodeing mode: multi-pass
Dimensions: 1280x720

forgot to mention. I am exporting for a website. Its a lawyer's introduction to his website that will be on the front page. So you may want to put some input to my size and quality.

well i dont know what's wrong with your video cuz i cant see it but if you have a mac, press APPLE (command) + SHIFT + 4 to take a screen capture. you can select the size you want and just highlight the video.

this is just the section where I am having the problem. Notice in the bottom right corner of the frame where there is a black spot because of space in a book shelf there is none of this artifacing. Pay attention to the suits incase you dont see it right away.

Um that's just your desktop proxy preview. For the real thing look at it on an NTSC or HD monitor.
