Ok....So, I put together this local commercial. I've color corrected and made sure that all the levels for the RGB and White/blacks are legal broadcast levels. Now, I been talking to a local cable network and they'll be getting back to me on how they want it to be exported. But, I've came across a problem, it might be a little problem; hope you guys can help me. here it is:

When I view the commercial in quick time, the blacks aren't crush. When I go to my Wave Form Monitor, All my blacks are over 7.5 IRE. I can't crush the blacks any more or it will go below 7.5 IRE. But when I watch it on a big screen (Projector) it looks great. When I watch it on a MAC OSX with Quick Time, There is a little white grain in the blacks. I already used a Broadcast Monitor to work with my color correction...and on the monitor it looks great. What can be the problem? oh, and yes, I have the lastest Quick Time. I'm using FCP Studio 2.

Thanks,

Murray

Colors will never be the same on a broadcast monitor and a computer monitor.

Try this to make sure that Quicktime is at least in sync with Final Cut Pro (was just discussed a few threads down):

Quicktime Pro > Preferences > Enable Final Cut Studio color compatibility.

Other than that, if it looks good on a broadcast monitor, then that's all you should care about.
