CRT Upside-down?

I'm picking up a Brevis next week and have a 9" JVC CRT monitor that I use with my DVX for color/contrast/exposure. I am picking up an on-cam LCD monitor for framing and on the go movement, but I still want to check my stuff on the CRT before I roll tape.

Will flipping the CRT upside-down have any negative effects on it? I tried it briefly and all seemed OK, but of course this wasn't for an extended period of time.

Thanks

hey William,

I tried this with my 14" advent [new] After an hour or so, I noticed a discoloration going on in the top corner of the tube. I was laying the TV on its back, on the floor, so my talent could see themselves during critical takes. I quickly righted the TV and the color returned to normal after a few minutes. I feel the gasses in the tube were collecting where they normally dont collect during normal operation, but the tv seems fine now. Under similiar circumstances I would do it again... though I may prematurely lose the TV. I just dont know?
