Cross-platform edit, FCP to Premiere

Has anyone out there in DVX-land ever tried this (successfully)?

For a short film entry my friend and I tried to pull off an edit between my FCP and his premiere pro/AE. (I do not have/own AE)

We each captured the footage onto both computers seperately. He worked on some AE effects while I did the rough cut.

The bulk of the edit was to be done by me in FCP. Then sent to him for effects and CC in AE.

I exported my FCP seq via 10-bit uncompressed to my external HD (both as a QT file AND as a QT movie...just in case) and brought it over to his place. Once there we couldn't get my QT file (or QT movie) into Premiere (or AE). However, we could get his effects work onto my HD (same way, 10-bit uncompressed animation codec) and into FCP.

There has to be a way to go from FCP to PP.....anyone know?
I may have screwed up in exporting my timeline SEQ 10-bit uncompressed and not 10-bit uncompressed "animation" codec??? Is that one and the same or is there an "animation" checkbox I missed somewhere??? Or would I need some sort of Automatic Duck to 'bridge' this mess?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
