Credits

One way I would do it would be to use the pan and crop window to put the video on one of the sides, then format and place your credit roll on the other side. Then, place one above the other in the timeline and make one a screen (I think it's screen...it might be one of the other ones in the composite window). Then you just line them up in the pan and crop window until they are where you want them. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it is -a- way.

Just set up your scroll as usual, then move it over using track motion. Also, move the video the same way on its own track.

You can change the margins of your credit roll under the Generated Media effects. That lets you place the credits wherever you want. To see what this does, look at the preset "Scrolling Left Side on Semi-Black". Just make sure you set the background to transparent (unless of course you want a color mask).

Then you can put a color gradient in the track underneath. The preset "Linear Black to Transparent" is a good place to start. Put the solid color where your credits will roll and the transparent where you want the video to be. The good thing about using the gradient is you get to decide how much you want to feather the edge.

Now put your video on the third track and use the track motion tool to position it correctly.

Do a little bit of tweaking... and... Voila!

I know there are about 15,000 ways to do this, but it's the way I would go about it. There are Vegas gurus on here that can probably give you quicker ways.
