Has anyone done any decent credits in Vegas? I have Vegas Pro 9. I need some good credits for the start of my film. Where can I go to learn to do credits in Vegas? I looked at HELP but that really doesn't help much. Thanks

You can do pretty much anything you want. But I wouldn't bother with the "credit roll" generators, or that useless "Pro Titler." You can make a better roll by keyframing a text block.

What do you have in mind?

That would be quite difficult to do in Vegas.

After Effects would be more suited for text into smoke FX. You can Google for it ; there are plenty of tutorials , with and without using the 3rd party plugin Trapcode Particular

Actually, that stuff is doable in Vegas, and it wouldn't be that hard. I don't have time to type it out right now, but I'll look at putting something together a bit later.

It's probably easier to do in AE, but it's definitely doable in Vegas.

OK, here's a VEG file to get you started. It doesn't match exactly, but it's the same idea, and you should be able to tweak it into what you want. I would certainly spend more time smoothing it out; I just don't have any more time to mess with this today:

Note FX animation with keyframes. To make it "smokier," you might add some noise.

agreed. yes this is a lot of keyframing and layering in Vegas. youtube has a gazillion tutorials on Sony Vegas....
