Credit Roll

I am trying to use the credit roll in vegas 6, but im not exactly blown away with this feature. I have heard people on here talk about vegas and titling and how one just has to know how to get the most out of vegas. Basicly does anyone know of a plug in or a way to type something in word and just import it? Just seems that when i type something incorrectly i have to type the whole word again i just can't put the curser where the error is. Any help would be awesome.

so your main problem right now is just being able to retype your words?

all you have to do is right click the actual footage, edit generated media, highlight the part you want to change by simply clicking on it, then type away.

Ok, how about when you want to add more lines. Is there anyway to just say i need 50 lines for credits or do you have to keep inserting one by one? Do you know if you can just import from word?

as far as i know, just keep adding one by one.
and for word- well I've never tried this, i'm not sure how good the quality would be.
I don't even know if word files are supported within vegas.

I personally can't stand the vegas credit roll, especially if you have to insert a name in the middle, as far as I have seen it just can't be done, you have to retype everything after that point. Anyways, I alwasy just use a photoshop file, set to 720px wide, by however many pixels high. I do all my credits on that, save it as a tif file, and then bring it into vegas. I then go to the motion tab, take away all smoothing (set it to 0) and then start at the top, and set the last keyframe at the bottom. If I need to change anything, I go back into the original PSD file, make the change, resave the tif, and vegas automatically updates it.

And you can edit a word already there...you just have to click it a few times to get it past the selection phase.

Big Stein,
You can just paste your word doc into a large title file, and then pan/scan the file. It works better. allows for more fonts, allows for MUCH more creativity.
