I just finished shooting my new short and my assistant came up with a problem while writing the credit rolls: Since we were a skeleton team, I ended up directing, dp'ing, pulling focus and editing the movie before passing it on to other people for sound and grading.
Only, I don't want to be a credit hog and have my name everywhere, I really like the "shot and cut by" alternative, but this being a french movie, it doesn't translate that well. So far I've decided to take the "A movie by" route and add my name as co-writer and not list anything else I've done.
I filled in because I couldn't get hold of anyone I know that week since we were all working on something for a festival.
Any thoughts on that?
