I am having someone sew up a fur body outfit to cover what the mask and monster hands don't this is test 1 for upcoming short

i also in a different test i have no posted get a decent facial expression with liquify in after effects i think it will work out nicely

Looks good with the swinging light and shaky cam. Still camera and cold light of day reveals it a little but then it won't be shot like that. With the fur and slime and appropriate lighting it could look very good. Even though it's just test footage I'd suggest wearing a plain coloured (preferably dark) shirt next time. The stripes were quite distracting, a plain shirt would allow the mask and hands to be the exclusive focus of attention. Glad to see latex monsters live on.

are you kidding me? ghetto doesnt only WORK, it WORKS WELL.

robert rodgriguez makes his living on simple simple tricks and techniques like these.

Mario Bava is also known for making his coolest effects like this as well. he is quoted as saying==="keep your tricks simple"

anyways looks great.

maybe: can you stuff/fill the fingers with toilet paper to make sure they dont wiggle too much? i would if you can.

wet the teeth with a lil vaseline for slime and shine?

i think the main thing is to be careful that the inside of the mouth looks like a hole and not the flat surface that it is- id paint it with black matt acrylic but everyone doenst have an art supply story nearby like me. if you shoot the monster at a 3/4 angle to the camera you might be abel to easier avoid revealing the inside of the mouth too much

would love to see this closer to finished, with the mask and hand edges hidden under a long sleeved shirt and all that

you can also try taking a 10 dollar hardware store clamp light place it behind and near the ground and light the background seperately at an angle, from below.
