I'm creating a basic introduction to After Effects class for a local arts center. Participants will likely be complete newcomers to AE, compositing, mograph, etc. I'll have two hours. What would you teach? Has anyone had a great experiences with an intro course of similar length? Right now, I'm thinking about spending about 30 minutes each on motion graphics, compositing, and special effects topics respectively. Motion graphics might be a little longer, since I'll have to introduce some workspace and animation basics. For the remaining 30 minutes, I was thinking about splitting it organically between Q&A, examples of AE work, and information about other learning resources (e.g., DVXUser, free online tutorial vids).
