Creating Text On Subject's Shirt

I want to create text on the subject's shirt, on a tree, on a wall etc. How can this effect be achieved? I have Final Cut Studio 2.

You would need to motion track, if you have Motion, or better After Effects you can do it easy in there.

Or if you want, just go frame by frame (with smother movement you can get away with 2-5+ frames at a time) and just key frame the movement in FC

It would work in motion. If you have FCP2 then you should have it.

filthrich, MAC is a makeup and a media access control point amongst other things, hehe, us old timers like to refer to our Apple Computers post Apple IIse and Lisa as Macs. I shoot in Bmore a bunch, we should hook up if possible.

Phil might I suggest you go to creativecow.net and look up Ahron Rabinowitz' tutorials on displacement maps in the AE video tut section. You'll want your text to move with the bends and wrinkles of the trees and shirts etc. A displacement map is perfect for this. The tut is like 5 years old but guess what the math hasn't changed.
