Creating Presets in Vegas

I'm not sure if you guys know about this or not, but I see a lot of questions about creating presets in Vegas for filmlooks, etc. I stumbled upon this and I thought I'd share it with everyone. Here we go:

This process is similar to creating FX Filter packages.

1. Add your video fx to a clip as normal.
2. Create a look with the filters that you want.
3. Click on the ADD a filter button.
4. Instead of adding another filter, go to the Filter Packages folder and then click "SAVE AS..." on the right.
5. Name the preset look.

Now you have your own LOOK presets without having to use something like Magic Bullet. Of course you have to create your own presets by adjusting curves, saturation adjustments, etc. to create your own film looks, but I'm pretty sure most of you like to do that anyways.

I've created a bunch of looks, like warm looks, green tinted looks, bleach bypass looks, etc.

You guys should try it out!

I hope this helps!

Yeah, I had no idea that you could save the adjustments you made to each effect in the "effects chain." Like if you gave your color curves an "S" shape, etc, you can actually save the adjustment to the effects chain. I stumbled upon it by mistake, but I thought I'd share!
