creating "news" logos in FCP

im trying to make a put graphics on a shot to make it look like its video being shown on the news.

can anyone advise me on how to do this without Motion or AE?

do you have the grfx? make them in photoshop.

Assuming you mean just the stationary corner logo/bottom bar, you can create an image with a transparent background in photoshop and then import it in FCP. Put it on a layer above your video and voila.

i'll try that, so far everytime i import a trasparent layer, it's solid white in FCP

im attempting it right now, but if anyone can quickly come up with an appropriate channel 5 logo you might see in the right corner of the screen (with transparent background) I'd really appreciate that as well

don't have one, i mean, i'm making something right now in photo shop. I didn't have somehitng to work with, i was just going to put in somehting really crude from FCP

ok new question:

i made my channel 5 logo, but when i import it intp FCP (background IS transparent BTW) my outer shadow and emboss dont show. Any ideas?
