Creating my own plugins by combining presets?

Is it at all possible to use a string of presets like say "Bright/Contrast", "Gaussian Blur" and "Black & White" individual presets or something like that and then combine them into one single drag and drop file and then be able to import it into Vegas.

Basically I want to make some decent, free plug-in packs without getting to hardcore into programming stuff.

I know how to save single presets but like I said I want to be able to combine a few into one preset like Magic Bullet or New Blue.

You can save preset chains. After you add a few plug-in's in the plug-in chooser window, look on the right and you will see a "save-as" button. It saves the chain and the applied plug-in settings. To apply the chain to another track, you will find the saved chain in the filter packages folder.

How would I go about extracting that then to pack them into a RAR/EXE for a plugin pack?

(The making an EXE part I know how to do, but getting the actual files.. where would I find them?)

Like, how would I have them appear in this area that's highlighted:

You click on the little FX cross on the clip or the track or above the preview window, depending on the level you want to apply the package. If there are no FX, then it should bring up the plug-ins folders, and you should see the chains in the Filter Packages folder. If you already have FX applied, click on the green cross in the upper right of the Video Event FX window, and it'll take you to the same place.

Aha yeah.. Just found that.. That's basically what I want but does that mean it's the only way people can access it?

I was kind of hoping to make some detailed packs for people to use and be able to access like BorisFX, NewBlue and Magic Bullet in the actual Video FX tab.. would that be going into the realms of programming DLLs and whatnot?

You can share chains between machines using the Preset Manager which is a download from Sony's site.

All you need to do is save the file via the preset manager. Then anyone can load that file via the preset manager.

But will this drop it in the main FX tab in Vegas because that just sounds like it will hide it away in some sort of Preset browser.. I'm really really looking for it to be literally drag and drop into the vegas plugins folder and appear in the same place your main category of effects are and then when you click it, it shows a bunch of pre-created presets I've made for people/myself to use.
