Creating mov. file for download.....

I want to send a video file to my uncle via email so here's what I want to do...

I always see people on here with links where you can right click and download/save to your hard drive and watch it from there.

After creating a mov. file in Premiere how do I go about uploading and putting it up on this site where I could have you right click the link and you could save it?

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, just look how smetti does it....Maybe I should ask him....Hmmm.....Any ideas?

I wouldn't use .mov files to send over the internet unless your user needs to re-edit that file at the other end.

Instead try sending them a .wmv if they are on a windows based PC though the free encoding utilities written by Microsoft, or try using my MeGui tutorial for making free h.264s if the user has quicktime installed on the other end.

Anything keeping you from embedding it on Flash video? or Uploading to Youtube?

I always end up with such horrible quality videos that it isn't even worth putting it up there.....

Don't have flash...Wish I did though....

I'm just trying to send a smaller sized file with decent image quality....Something that doesn't take more than a few minutes to download....

Thanks for the response.....
