Creating a Scope effect???

I am working on a film project, and I am trying to find away to make it look as if you are looking down a rifle scope. I have tried some things and can't actually shoot down a scope and make it look good. I thought maybe there was some way of doing this in post production. Any ideas on how to create this effect?

Just make it the way you want it to look as a PSD in photoshop and then key it over your footage, for example:
