creating a ghost

Hey Folks


I'm working on a music video for my band and it requires a Spectre and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good way to get a ghostly look. I think some transparency would obviously help but I'm not sure how I should go about the rest. I obviously don't just want this character to look like an everyday human, perhaps they need a certain glow to them or whatnot. I guess I'm not 100% sure what i'm looking for, just some suggestions to work with more then anything Thanks to anyone who can throw forth some creative input

You'll need to use a black light or some other form of light reflection. In the Disney movie Haunted Mansion, they used a translucent paint with glass beads in it. When the light hit the glass beads, it was reflected back causing a spectoral glow which they enhanced in post. Rent the movie, watch the special features. In any case, you'll want to shot it in a green screen enviroment.
