Creating a film look in Premiere?

I shot my footage on a DVX100b (24p) and want to get more of a film look, I'm using Premiere Pro 2.0 and was just wondering if there were any known settings to get more of a film look without having to buy magic bullet or another program.

well, definatly crush the blacks some, by using gamma correction, and I usually also then use brightness and contrast, lower the brightness a few and then up the contrast some. It makes it look more punchy. From there do some color correction and viola.

Alter blacks (and whites) using Levels because Gammas alter the mid tones.

Levels can usually do most that you need without going near brightness or contrast and should be done before you do any CC work.
