Creating a company checklist help

I want to start an HD production/post production company, a small business type venture, I'm hardly a businessman so I need a little help making sure I'm doing everything right, here goes...

1. Create business name
2. Register name with Secretary of State
3. Become an LLC
4. Register domain name/buy a website
5. Advertise in the yellow pages, craigslist, mandy.
6. Something about google clicks per ad, making myself available there perhaps
7. business cards
8. ???

Any help is appreciated!
 
The first thing on your list should be to have a clientele base that will support this.
 
I have a small pool of people but I thought I could get even more people if it just wasn't Joe Shmoe looking to do business with them but a company with a cool name and a polished website.

Also, forgot to mention, I want to get more involved with wedding videography, but all the local wedding sites need you to have a website in order to advertise.

ahh
the yellow pages and local wedding directories will do ya fine then. You'll be better off advertising as a wedding videography company than an HD production/post facility.
 
Step 1: Research and prepare a written business plan.

Failure to plan is a plan to fail or even worse, wind up with an income replacement model.
