Creating 3D Company Logo in Motion

hey guys,
I have a concept that I would like to turn into reality with Motion 5. I want to begin on a moon and then fly down through a virtual forest filled with fog and then come out to a clearing where our company logo will be. I know this sounds tricky and it will be but I just wanted to know where to start with things like the moon and the forest and how to create them? Any help would be appreciated. It's more a case of how to I create a moon and trees in motion. The trees can be monochromatic too if that's easier though I doubt it will be.

Hi,

I do not use motion 5 but I think you can accomplish the same tasks.

For the moon, I would make that a digital matte, 4000x4000 at least resolution (does not have to be, but this is if I was to do it) that is in the far background (you can move with simple transform)

The forest you can make in maya, and they can move (maya paint effects), or you can download free tree models and bring them into your fav 3d app and apply a few noise modifiers to get the motion of wind.

When you accomplish the task, render out the layer, that is the foreground, and the background elements, moon, stars, clouds, (all can be 2d mattes)

All thats left is the camera move, you can do it in the 3d app and just try to match it by hand, or do it in motion 5.

Good luck, I hoped this helped a little,

-Tim
