Create a "3D effect" with a videocamera?

Hi, I just discovered a real special way to shoot a scene. I saw it in a music video on vimeo but unfortunatly I can't remember the title of it. The picture is somewhat shaking, like it's filmed with two cameraes and edited frame by frame like this: cam 1, cam 2, cam 1, cam 2 etc....

What I'm looking for is an explanation or perhaps a tutorial on how to shoot this way.

I found a couple of still photographs that use the same effect.

Anyone?

It looks like it is the same frame just photoshopped to look like it was shot with two different cameras. That is just a guess.

It looks like you are refering to bullet time effect developed in 90's for the matrix movies. Am I correct?

Multiple cameras side by side, providing the depth perception effect. There are rigs that are already set up to do this, or it's easy enough to jury-rig your own if you don't mind the extra effort of having to continuously change settings on two cameras rather than one. If you want to mimic actual human depth perception you should try to set up the lenses about 2.5 inches apart horizontally.

I am aware of the matrix bullet time shot, but it's not like that. Well it may be the same method, but with only two cameras. I wanna shoot a scene with this style, should I just put two cameras next to eachother and shoot it, or should they be fine adjusted in some way, focusing on the same object for example....

Just take two photos (from two cameras if possible) at almost the same time and you will get this effect.

It's way easier than you imagine :)
