creamsource vortex8 rgbw 2x1

Looks terrific.

650w, RGBW, unibody design (so no pain in the arse PSUs and cable jungles to deal with), detachable yoke, stackable, the weight's as bad as an S60, but the cleaner lines should make it less painful to store and deploy, and the price is nice for the output.

A little irritating that they haven't also listed the photometrics with the dome in place (which would give a more sensible reference point to compare the output to the competition).

But this is the first panel light in a while that I've found interesting enough that I'd consider it for my own kit.

Good points. IP 65 is nice, hopefully more rugged builds keep coming.

Surely you're done buying lights!

If we can even get 300w of that as white light, that would be a banger of a soft light.

God, I hope so! :o

Yeah, it's one we really need to see comprehensive photometrics on (both for white light and colours, and both with and without the diffusion dome) to properly comprehend.

How many lumens does it pump out at 3200k/4500k/5600k, and what can it put out at 100% saturation in the basic colours (red, pink, purple, blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange).

I've just done a couple of very colourful shoots, where we ended up using tungsten + gels (because we couldn't afford the better, fuller-spectrum RGBW lights). And although everything looked lovely, we were really gagging for output (on the bluer colours in particular).
