here in PAL country the only camera that does 24p is the jvc-hd111e
everything else does 25p. if i want to make short films and eventually a feature, do i need a PAL camera?
i could get a true 24p NTSC DVX camera from the USA. i'd only need a PAL camera if i wanted to export for TV. even then i could just convert it. i under stand that PAL has more vertical horizontal resolution, but if you're cropping for 16x9 it doesn't matter. the only other difference is the colour palette. by re encoding in PAL will i lose any quality? don't you just decrease the speed by 7 percent...???
another thing i heard was they use different tapes. is this true? one of my dear DVXusers could just send me some tapes by the hundred every now and then right????
