Crazy accidents.

Today I walked into my brother's room to tell him he had a phone call. On the floor there was a pool of blood and he was lying in bed. I asked him about it and he sat up and there was blood all over his face. He had a HUGE knot on his forehead and a big gash in his nose. He was talking in a weird voice, breathing very irregularly and didn't know where he was or what was going on. He really seemed like he was mentally handicapped. My dad had just talked to him 40 mins. prior to me finding him.

About 30 mins after he got to the hospital the nurses told us that he was still VERY out of it, was wondering about any past medical problems. By the time I got to see him he seemed pretty normal though, so it looks like he'll be alright.

Through examining everything and talking to him it appears as if he just slipped and hit his head. One of those bizzarre accidents. One scary day for the Hyten family.
 
Yea, I was pretty lucky. It was my older brother calling for him. I wouldn't have seen him till tommorow if someone hadn't called for him. I was getting ready to go out. My dad sleeps during the day and goes to work midnight shift. It's possible that we wouldn't have found him until tommorow.
 
Luckily you found him *and* you were smart enough to get him to a hospital. Heard too many stories of people that don't take someone to the hospital because they are convinced by the person that's hurt that they don't need to go. And, they worry about being embarrassed about taking someone that doesn't need to go.

You made a wise choice.
 
Wow man...

My grandfather died because of somethign small, that noone thought wa important.... a small detail was overlooked, and he passedaway because of it.


I hope your brother is ok, Tim.
 
tim make sure his eyes are both the same size , just in case of concussion and wake him up every 3 hours so he won't possibly go into coma state.
