Crank

I havent finished watching my Crank DVD yet but I have seen about 45 minutes of it so far. I like the way this movie is shot and edited. What kind of style of editing would you call that? Its like a fast paced, in your face kinda style or something. I havent seen that kind of editing done in to many films. Well I have seen it but not throughout the whole movie like it is in Crank. Its definitely different!

Much of the interior and exterior shots featuring running or motorcycle riding were shot by one of the directors (there were 2) on rollerblades. The whole thing was shot in HD except for 3 sequences (obviously, done on film).

I enjoyed this flick a lot!

It's fun and silly and doesn't try to take itself too seriously. And has some pretty cool action in it too!! Statham is cool no matter what he does it seems.

No idea of the name of editing... sort of mtv style editing how it has lots and lots of quick cuts.

Did NOT like the end
(SORT OF SPOILER>>>how the rival gang appeared from nowhere, and then how it ended in the air>>>).

Other than that it was a good show with a fair amount of intensity.

Thought the literal ending was a bit cartoony, but other than that, a fun movie. Can't go wrong with a dozen desert eagles in one movie.

Also given life to the best inside joke ever; yelling "I'm alive! Yeah!" in a bus station.

just finished it.... I thought it was a more of a comedy than anything..... albeit an extreme black/bloody comedy

it was good for a chuckle, completely and un-apologetically over the top

I loved watching the commentary and hearing the filmmakers say that they wrote the script in like 4 days, they were laughing about it, they talked about how they just tried to come up with an idea that focused on kinetic camera movement, nothing more... haha.... at least they were honest

I believe they call it Guerilla filmaking.
