It's been getting questionable fan reviews. From the Transporter (which is loved by many) to this in a matter of years. You know what, I think the hardcore R-rated action film with no real plot has met it's end. The Transporter was fun. No blood, no gore, no hard sex. It was good clean butt-kicking fun. I'm a fan of JS but I'm thinking I'll stay away from this one myself. I'm all for keeping the action hot but it looks kind of dumb.

I really didn't like it.
I had heard it was 81 minutes played out in real time, which it isn't, and after seeing it, it would have been much smarter for them to go that route. I was turned off by how the were handling his "discovery" of how to stay alive, but they lost me after the first couple times he's able to just stand there minutes at a time and not die, and then other times he'll stop running and imediatly feel pain in his chest. Lame.
If the only thing keeping you alive is a steady dose of adrenaline, are you going to take your girlfriend out to a sit down restuarant? WTF was that?!?
Last but not least, the actual "plot" revolving around his last hit is pretty unintelligible AND pointless. Combine that with the climax where the "good" gang magically appear on the roof of the "bad" gangs building without anyone noticing (There are 12 guys standing RIGHT BEHIND STATHAM!!!! how can you not see them?!?) and you get just a really lame movie.
I guess the reason I'm so heated about it is because I just don't like action movies(with a few exceptions) and the trailer for this one had my legitimatly interested. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but the problems with this movie are so glaring and so easily fixable that it's obvious how much better this movie could have been and no one cared enough. Oh well, I'll just have to take a stab at the concept myself in 10 years (or sooner depending on how soon the collective consiousness forgets this movie ever existed)

"The Transporter" was unintentional comedy. That's probably why it has popularity . . .

Each to his own, I loved this movie, I mean what can go wrong with a no-brainer action movie. It was good.
