Crane from Bargain Camera?

I was just wondering if anyone has used a crane from Bargain Camera (http://www.bargain-camera.com/). I was considering buying from there since they have a crane and stand that i could get in the $500 range. Anyone have any experience? Please keep in mind, I just need something decent, I'm only starting out, I don't expect all the bells and whistles, but it'd be nice to get my money's worth :) Thanks!

Terror, That thing looks like a ships mast!:) Cool, but I think it might be a bit out of his budget. People here have very good things to say about Kessler Cranes and another one I can't remember. Do a search for them here. I think you'll find a lot of info on lower priced alternatives.

Edit: Ahh, the other one I was thinking of is CobraCrane. Keep in mind you'll need a decent tripod to handle the weight of those cranes so if you don't already have a good one, you've got to figure that into the cost. HTH.

Terror, that thing is huge! Do you have one? If so, give us a quick review if you don't mind. (Also, how much does that bad boy cost?)

well the reason i ask, is because i know my tripod won't handle a crane and they have a stand for 100 bucks at bargain camera for their crane, which is ideal. I'm on a tight budget and i'm only using this for my own amateur stuff :)

Since i joined this place. I love it. I love to share info. So what i am going to tell you now. Is about the Pixy crane. Ofcrouse anyone knows that if you a buy a bigger tripod. The Crane will be much bigger. So the hight they talk about on the site is only estimate. I bought a 70inch tripod to go with my cranes. and it extended it much more then the site says. The camera movements are very steady. Very ez to assemble. Takes me 20 mins to put 2 up. The crane itself is very very durable. The cranes survived a tornado we had in eatern Ontario a couple of years ago. A entire area of my house fell. And the cranes fully survived the deal. Only thing was some scratches. So i highly recommned this crane. My personal opinion is that this is the best crane. I have seen it survive somethings that other cranes might never survive.
