crane for $60

I'm going to build one similar to this, but out of stronger materials. It really looks easy to control movement and also pan and tilt.

Seems like it gets the job done, but the sway is very noticeable.

Yes I noticed that to, I'm going to use a solid steel or aluminum type shaft for the main beam, and also use sealed bearings and aluminum fixtures instead of wood.

Yes, I think beef the thing up and it will be pretty cool. I just like the idea that you can pan, and tilt and move it all from one end, I even thought of adding rotation also, it wouldn't be hard just use tubing with a section of tubing inside that you can rotate. Well I think I'll start making one and see what happens. I got this new HVX and I gotta put it to work.
