I know this film isn't what most here at used to (just my guess), but here's the trailer for the 4th film from Sherwood Pictures (creators of Fireproof) called COURAGEOUS.

Definitely a step up from their previous production...looking forward to it.

Movie hits theaters today on almost over 1300 screens. It opened early this morning in Guam. Lots of press surrounding this movie and it was #1 on Fandango of all tickets pre-sellling over $2 MILLION in tickets. Even if this film isn't your cup of tea, perhaps you'll give it a shot? It's not perfect, but it's a pretty amazing thing watching an indie movie like this on the big screen. :)

The critics weren't very nice...but Courageous came in #4 as the best new release this past weekend with a $9Mil take. Doubled the average per theater of any film too. Not bad.

Who cares what the critics say?

I'd have missed out on a ton of great films if I had listened to the so called film critics.

Wow...how did I miss this? Funny, just seen this DVD in Wal-Mart the other day (yes....I shop there sometimes) :)

Even though this is a "faith based" project, it should inspire ALL independent filmmakers. Production budget: 2 million Box office gross: 34 million

2 million may be a lot to you and me, but to Hollywood it is chump change. This has got to make them sit up and take notice - first, that family friendly programming sells, and second that independents are a force to be reckoned with.
