Countries Other than US...

Hey everyone-

I was wondering if you guys knew what framerates Australia and Canada shoot on. I am currently working on a pilot for tomgreen.com and I have video coming from both countries and I am not sure how I should go about mixing their footage in with 23.98...

Canada is NTSC; the footage could be 24p, 30p, or 60i.

Australia is PAL; the footage could be 25p or 50i.

What would you suggest for the Australian footage? I am using Final Cut Pro and it seems pretty flexible with framerates, but do you think I will need to be converting footage to get it to work on my timebase?

I am almost positive the Australian footage is 25p, but he said it could export at 23.98... kind of a confusing situation.

Hmmm in fcp I would suggest that taking the footage into a 25p timeline then exporting it as 23.98 then into your timeline would be the best option.
