Could THESE be used as lighting stands?

Impact makes some decent stands which are reasonably priced. If you need cheap, they should do fine. If you are going to be using them on a weekly basis, might want to spring for something more substantial.

There's really no such thing as a "proper" cheap alternative. There's proper, and there's cheap.

I don't think those speaker stands have the right mounting pins, anyway.

The biggest problem with "speaker stands" is that the tube size at the top (over 1 inch diamater) doesn't fit ANY known kind of lighting equipment. You would have to kludge some sort of smaller adapter on top, and by the time you do that, you could probably find a proper budget lighting stand for less $$$.

I have 3 of those Impact stands listed, they are not the highest quality but they have held up to pretty steady use for several years. One is kinda starting to need some help, but it still works and is still safe.

You can buy very respectable "heavy duty" Chinese-made light stands on eBay for $50. They have the necessary 5/8" baby pin on top, may be air cushioned and reach 12 or 13 feet. They're good for anything up to a 1K including a softbox.

You might also see what a local rental house might sell you used. Times are a little tough and they usually have something they can surplus to you, such as a real C-stand (a joy to use but not to transport) which are the industry standard for small lights and grip for a reason. You ought to be able to find some with Hollywood heads and gobo arms for $75. I realize you're in Europe, but I'll bet you can find good used Manfrotto (they OEM under other names, such as Arri) stands there anywhere.

Adorama sells 10' Savage brand light stands on Ebay for $60 shipped. I got some of these last year and they blow away typical Chinese stands, very sturdy for the money and good hardware. Best combination of cost to durability.
