Could I get a recommendation for a decent battery & audio bag?

I have super cheap audio equipment (DR100, MM-1 preamp, MK012 for a mic), because I'm not able to afford a proper sound guy to join in my hobby whenever I feel like shooting something.

Having said that, I'd like to add 2 things to my kit.

A decent external / portable battery I can use to power my recorder for at least 4 hours straight worth of audio. Should I use an external battery at all here (is it safe or even possible?), or maybe go with a standard Tascam rechargeable?
A decent bag I can use to house and get access to my DR100 Recorder, MM-1 Preamp and of course the battery.

Since a lot of you guys are pros, I imagine you come across cool gear all the time and know what works and what doesn't. If you can give me a recommendation for the absolute cheapest thing that works, I would really appreciate it! I'm even down for buying no-name / used equipment on ebay if it's been tested and known to work.

Your dr100 has duel batteries and that might get you near 4 hours. I had considered most of the viable options, the best and most expensive being a bdr distribution system, and either an np1 or other camera battery power system like Aonton Bauer. That option is worth more than your entire kit. For me, it didn't make sense, and probably not for you either.

I ended up with a couple of Tekeon batteries and have been very happy. I've ended up using them for all sorts of other stuff as well, like video monitors, slider power, etc. I did have to make a cable with multiple output jacks so I could power a mixer and recorder at the same time. Overall, it was the best solution (for me) that worked well, had decent quality and wasn't too expensive. One battery and the extra distribution cable was under $175.

Cool, thanks for the recommendations. Just picked up an expansion pack as well that allows the DR100 to take 6 batteries, so that should help for now.
