I'm sorry, didn't know where to post this, thought this was best.
would any of you know any reputable costume places made for filmmakers? or just a good costume shop? I'm looking for new england 1940s look.

Just do a 'costume rental in NY' in google.

I think there's a NY 411 directory for film/video people as well.

other options: Check with film or theater groups.

i don't know why but i haven't thought of it that way.

Check the local Universities they usually loan, like a library..
