Cost of upgrading from student copy?

When I enter college in the fall, I plan on taking advantage of the various student discounts on Premiere and other adobe programs. I have heard that it is illegal to use a student copy for profit, and even though the chances of getting slapped for it are slim in my case, I still would like to go legit. I am wondering if it costs alot more in the long run to upgrade to the regular license from a student copy? Or does it work out to be about the same?

Based on my past experience, when Adobe releases a new version of a product, the price to upgrade to the new full version is the same whether you upgrade from the previous edu or commercial version. Seems that a new release of PPro ought to be coming out soon. So maybe by the time you're ready to make some money with it, you can upgrade to the new release and be legal.

I hope they have speed ramping in the new version...that would be cool
That's what AfterEffects is for... among other things.
I doubt Adobe will incorporate that into Premiere.
