Cost of importing Brevis to UK

Can anyone give me the cost of importing the Brevis to the UK. After customs and import duty, VAT etc.

To buy the package im looking at will cost $1300 (£650) excluding import costs

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
 
If you want a definitive answer, be prepared for nightmare/minefield. Check out HM Revenue and Customs: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/ for the category for the Brevis which will give you the rate for Import duty. You may have joy asking DHL or FedEx direct. Remember you'll have to pay handling changes on top, then VAT on top of the whole lot. I've heard that some people get things sent out with only a nominal value marked for the goods (but of course I'm not saying I do, nor am I suggesting you do!). Good luck.
 
If its Royal mail/ parcelforce who will get it then expect at least a £21.00 handling charge. To be fair to them that is the handling charge cost passed to them by Customs. Anyone else can be £30-£50 quid.

then you'll pay 17.5% V.A.T and you might also have to pay an excise charge depending on the classification of the item. you're probably looking at around £140 to £250 depending on wether your item is in the wrong classification and if your carriage company expects to charge a hiya handling charge.

Have you considered the SGPRO which is made here in the good old UK for around £480?
