Corruption of Log & Transfer and bins?

Hi folks. Just finished a few hours of logging and transfering HD footage that I transferred onto my RAID array. I got to one point where I was creating clips from a master clip of a guy talking. Suddenly I had a voice loop that I couldn't get out of and had to Force Quit FCP. When I started FCP again the Bins did not show the last few hours work, even though I had been saving religiously. The original footage is there, and the clips (MOV files) are in the subfolders where they should be, but the bins have restored themselves to earlier today.

Has anyone experienced this? Is this a known bug? Is there any possible recovery of this? Can I use the MOV files without needing the bins by just importing them in?

very frustrating behavior by FCP. Not sure why, after all my SAVE PROJECT ALL behavior that this happened.

strangely there wasn't a copy that was clean. I trashed the prefs and am now seeing if it gets better.

@OP - Could you supply version of FCP and Version of OS?

I suspect that FCP opened an incorrect project name on re-start (by default it opens the last open project - on crashing it may have been an older version of the file, and has affinity to do so) - if the file-names are identical, it would then re-save it into auto-save (so look for something back-dated) - as in your last saved project is not in the Open Recent menu, while still on disk somewhere like Final Cut Pro Documents.
