Corrupt Files?

Have a Vegas 10e veg. file that tells me some files are missing when I try to open it.
I click on OK, thanks for the reminder button, but the files are always there.Am I right to assume Vegas is telling me some files are corrupt?
At the end of ti I'm asking how corrupt files can be identified.
Is there a software application.
I'm not a techie and hope I'm not sending nerd eyes a rollin'.
Think I did over on the Sony site as I got no replies.

Thanks,

Dan

If a file was corrupt, it wouldn't load so that's not your problem.
Click the lightning bolt to clear any unused files, save it under a new name and try it again.

The only way that I know of is to start removing files one at a time, re-starting Vegas and seeing if the project will load.

Chances are there is one or more clips or stills in your project media that you aren't actually using on your timeline. Go through your project media and look for offline files. Delete them from the project media, then save your project. Next time you open it, you shouldn't get that message.

Good luck!

In my experience - this is always the case. Spot on.
