Hello - I have an old Sennheiser Me66 / K6 with some battery corrosion on the K6. It isn't bad but I want to clean it up. A little baking soda and water and then set it out in the sun?

Thanks!

That should be fine. Do you typically run with the battery, or power from your mixer/camera/recorder.

Be very careful with that around the electronics. You don't want any to get out of the battery compartment. Also I'm not sure if that is the right thing to use. It used to be with acid based batteries but you are probably using Alkaline batteries. Baking soda neutralizes acid not alkaline solutions. You need an acid to neutralize alkaline.

After cleaning you probably want to use something like DEOXIT to clean off the corrosion and protect the connector.
