Hello,
I have some experience as a DP for film projects, but I'm a total newbie lighting -and exposing- for video.
So I was wondering about the best way to set my exposure.
For film I use the traditional Kodak 18% reflectance Gray Card. That would be my V zone. I then adjust subjects by spot-metering, trying to keep skin in zone VI (about 32% reflectance) and everything else inside dynamic range.
I'd like to know what Zebra valor (readme, the % that Zebras point out in the EVF -you'd enlighten me by telling what does that % mean or stand for) should the gray card show. 50% maybe?
What about skin tone? Around 70%?
And the IRE scale? Is it still useful?
Lots of questoins.
Thanks in advance!
Martin.
