I've noticed that when importing 24pA footage (that I captured with premiere) in AF7, the pulldown doesn't always seem to be removed correctly. My understanding is that the cadence should be WWSWW, per this link http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/24p_in_FCP_nattress.html.
But this doesn't always seem to be the case, or sometimes it seems as though I can't remove the pulldown correctly at all. Sometimes AF7 will guess WWSWW on some clips, sometimes it will guess WWWWS, sometimes its unable to guess any pulldown. As a test, I changed the cadeance to WWSWW on footage AF7 guessed as WWWWS, and the footage had some strange interlacing artifacts show up. So whats the deal??
