I'm mighty close to getting a Core2 Duo E6600 (4mb cache) and was curious to know if anyone has made the upgrade yet using this chip?

I'd like to know how Vegas/AE handles on it....

anyone, anyone? (Ferris Bueller)

i don't own it, but it got fantastic reviews. i'm an amd man so i'll stick with them, but the core 2 duo is tempting.

I am usually an AMD man myself(since K6-2 days), but the Core2 is the best thing that Intel has come out with in years! Thanks!

We just put Xeons, AMD and the old Core Duo to our own bench tests.

The new Core 2 smoked them all.

We're moving over to Core 2 Duo's now or until we can test the new Quad Cores to see if cost/benefit justifies another move.

i built a core2 duo rig and vegas just love it... and i love the speed of using it and rendering.

just wait untill core 2 quad comes out...
