I have actually been trying to get some copyright issues sorted out as well. They are old visual music films (some of you may know what that is if you don't google visual music). They are all 16mm that I have transfered and digitally remastered. I have been told that I need to send in seperatly burned DVD's for each of the 14 films becuase if I send in a DVD with all of the films and one is already copyrighted and not in public domain, I will not be able to copyright the DVD. Since I think one of the films might be copyrighted my MGM I am wondering wether to send in seperate DVD's with the 14 different films on each one, or to send in one DVD with all of the films already complied (which is how I intend to sell it). So sum up, should I send in 14 films on 14 seperate DVD's and obtain the copyright's on each film. Or, should I send in the 1 DVD with all the films on it (will this risk compromising the copyright on the DVD if one has a copyright?) Hopefully you guys understand what I just asked. Any imput will be greatly appreciated.
